Matcha Green Tea Latte

Serves: 1 cup
  • 1 teaspoon of matcha green tea powder
  • 2 teaspoon of agave syrup, depending on desired sweetness
  • 1 drop of natural vanilla essence (optional)
  • ¼ cup of warm water
  • 1 cup of milk or soy milk
  1. Add matcha green tea powder and agave syrup into cup.
  2. Add warm water and stir until powder has fully dissolved.
  3. Heat up 1 cup of milk in a small saucepan at medium heat until it just starts to boil (185F or 85C) or in a separate cup, heat milk in the microwave for 50 seconds.
  1. Froth milk using a frother (if you have one) for 10 seconds.
  2. Pour the frothed warm milk into the cup and stir.
To lower the calories, use reduced or low fat milk.
As a vegan alternative, soy milk or almond milk can be used.
