Soy Sauce Pan Fried Noodles

This classic Cantonese soy sauce pan fried noodles is amazingly tasty for a dish so simple and easy to make. Perfect dish for a busy week!

Ingredients
  

For the Noodles:
  • Water to boil noodles
  • 14 oz 400 g egg noodles
For the Seasoning Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons sweet soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½ teaspoon chili paste sambal oelek
  • Pepper to taste
For the Vegetables:
  • 4 oz beansprouts
  • 2 oz snow peas thinly sliced
For the Garnish:
  • Sesame seeds

Method
 

  1. Add 8 cups of water in a pot at medium heat and bring to boil.
  2. Add egg noodles, stir and remove after 30 seconds. Drain and set aside.
  3. Heat wok on high heat and add oil. Allow oil to heat up before adding noodles.
  4. Add all the seasonings and stir with wooden spoon or chopsticks to combine well.
  5. Add the vegetables, toss to combine and stir another 30 seconds. Transfer into serving bowl and garnish with sesame seeds.
